Seed parent: Anthurium ‘Midnight Castle’ × US Port from Equator.

Equator is a highly respected nursery from China, widely recognised for producing and breeding exceptional Red Crystal lines. In my view, their hybrids consistently represent a very high standard in both quality and breeding potential.

This particular hybrid shows a remarkably dark velvet leaf texture, combined with a distinctive flat-head leaf shape. These traits give the plant a bold, refined appearance, and I believe this style has strong potential to become an important breeding direction in the global Anthurium scene.

Pollen parent: Anthurium ‘Darkhandsome’ × RVC (Red Velvet Cake)

DH × RVC is a truly stunning hybrid created by Dr. Block. The plant is known for its intense red emergent leaves, which gradually mature into a deep, dark almost-black tone. The contrast between the vivid new growth and the mature foliage gives this hybrid a highly dramatic and collectible appearance.

This is not a hybrid commonly seen in the Australian market, making it a special addition for serious Anthurium collectors.
